Issues

  • I've been using the old Geoclient API and it is completely unclear how to use the new version

There appears to be no documentation on how to make any successful requests to the new API. Everything I try results in a "The requested resource is not available" error. Has anyone gotten this to work at all? Is this API actually complete and functional?

  • Need format for request parameters

Trying to use the search request using this: https://api.nyc.gov/geo/geoclient/search.xml?input=110%20William%20Street%2010038&Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key=8885d29b3b6c4fca8c285f259b357b61 (This is the primary subscription key given to me when I signed up for the new API) But I am getting this error: { "statusCode": 401, "message": "Access denied due to missing subscription key. Make sure to include subscription key when making requests to an API." } Please give me the sample url to use to be able to call the new api using the single-field-search functionality. Thank you!

  • 404: The requested resource is not available.

Unable to access new geoclient API, gives error '404: The requested resource is not available'. The same error occurs with the 'Try it' https://api-portal.nyc.gov/docs/services/geoclient/operations/geoclient/console . Will try again in a few days to see if it was just subscription key issue.

  • Sample code does not work

Whilst trying to port an existing application and having run into issues regards authentication, even the sample code for "javascript" as documented here: https://api-portal.nyc.gov/docs/services/geoclient/operations/geoclient doesn't work due to CORS restrictions. Please advise.

  • Is the API ready to use?

The documentation wasn't updated. It still asks for APP ID and APP key. The example returns 404 error.
